It's funny how many people don't want to see a snake but get really excited with a 5-metre monster croc like this. It's like saying snakes a more dangerous because they're venomous. This big boy here was just minding his own business, doing what he does everyday which is bask under the sun. Reptiles like this guy here depend a lot on the sun not only as a source of energy for whatever it is they plan on doing but as a catalyst to speed up the digestive process. If that is the case here, I have no idea what's breaking down inside his belly. Could be a pig, a monkey. When they're only inches long, they feed on the smaller stuff like small fish and frogs. As they get bigger, they move on to much bigger prey. The amount of food it consumes influences the amount of fat it stores, which the croc uses as energy. He can have enough fat to last him a whole year without eating. But that doesn't mean you can just go near any crocodile. Remember, they're opportunistic hunters, too. And they wouldn't mind having an English, Dutch or Chinese takeaway dinner.
