How To Fix Maytag Top Load Washer Won't Drain (Why Your Maytag Top Loader Washer Won't Drain?). In this video tutorial I will show you how to fix a Maytag top load washer that won't drain.

The following are reasons why your washer won’t drain:
1. Kinked or clogged drain hose.
2. The drain hose is too high.
3. Overloaded washer.

Here is how to fix these issues;
Clean the drain hose.
1. Turn off the washer and disconnect it from power.
2. Disconnect the hose from the washer and drainage point.
3. Use a plumber’s snake to remove the clogs.
4. Connect the hose to a tap to wash out the rest of the dirt.
5. Straighten a bent hose for the water to flow.

If this does not solve the issue,
Check the drain hose installation.
1. Ensure the drain hose is at least 30 inches from the floor.
2. The hose should not extend 4.5 to 5 inches inside the drain pipe.
3. Do not tape the drain hose and drain pipe together.

You can also,
Remove some clothes.
1. Turn off the washer and remove some clothes.
2. Evenly distribute the laundry in the drum to prevent off-balance issues when spinning.
3. Check the user manual to get the washer’s capacity.
