In this video we see Metro and Vline trains at the busy Footscray station in Melbourne's west. We see a variety of Metro trains including Hitachi, Comeng and Siemens trains on the Werribee/Williamstown lines and the Sunbury line and a variety of Vline trains including Vlocities, Sprinters and N Class consists on the Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo lines.
This station will soon be upgraded as part of the Regional Rail Link project with two new platforms, an upgraded footbridge and other works. Under the project, Vline trains will get their own pair of track between Southern Cross and Sunshine, and a new railway line from Deer Park West to West Werribee for Geelong Vline trains.
This video is part 1 of 2, being recorded in the morning and early afternoon.
