If you send the Y-Ws
If you send the Y-Ws home right after the start they will die, so clear the TIEs before sending them home. After this , it's almost the usual STD killing. Just watch the crafts with missiles.

Mission Goals:
Star Destroyer INTREPID was Destroyed
Description:
Take out the shield generator towers on the Star Destroyer Intrepid. Once the shields are down, the Intrepid will be vulnerable to proton torpedo attack.
Brief:
Make your way through the Star Destroyer Intrepid's TIE fighter defenses. Then destroy both of the Intrepid's shield generator towers. A-Wings will escort you in, while the Y-Wings make a frontal assault.
Detail:
The Star destroyer Intrepid is stranded in the Circarpous system. It's defensive escort shield was destroyed during previous Alliance attacks. The High Command feels the time is perfect for our first direct starfighter assault on an Imperial capital ship. Our Technical Staff has discovered a weak spot in the Intrepid's defenses... it's shield generators! The shield generators are at the top of the bridge superstructure. Taking out these two towers will leave the Intrepid defenseless against a barrage of proton torpedoes. As one of our best pilots it will be your responsibility to destroy these towers. The entire attack depends on this. Good luck and may the Force be with you!
