Transamination and Deamination of Amino Acids

This video explains all details on how amino acids undergo transamination and oxidative deamination process. video explains the detailed mechanism of transamination including double displacement or ping pong mechanism. Also explained is oxidative deamination of glutamine in the liver and kidney to release ammonium ion to make urea in the liver or release ammonium ion into urine by the kidney. Combination of transamination and oxidative deamination is referred as transdeamination. L-amino acid oxidase mechanism in amino acid catabolism is also explained in the video.
