Why Spend Cash On Film Just to Scan It With a Digital Camera? Let Me Explain (& Shoot Some Pictures)

I take a 1990s point-and-shoot film camera (the Minolta Riva Pico 35mm Zoom) out on the streets of Stockport to test it out and use the opportunity to discuss the reasons why I don't think it's crazy to shoot film when you aren't going to (at least initially, and in most cases) make optical darkroom prints, but instead use a dSLR to make digital files from the negatives.
