Designing Sound Effects in Kyma Instead of in a DAW

This is a step-by-step tutorial in realtime (I didn't edit the video during the creation of the Kyma sound in order to show just how quickly we can make a lot of sounds) showcasing the power of generating sound effects algorithmically and the flexibility to manipulate them in a live design session, in this case from my fingers on the iPad. A brief look is taken at what a typical sound design or sound effect session might look like and then we quickly get into the Kyma sound design environment.
For this video, I've avoided using any synthesis algorithms or 'advanced' techniques in the Kyma signal flow in an attempt to show a simple/common/basic idea all sound designers seem to use which is layers and pitch shifting with fades. While it takes a bit of work to set-up initially, it should be clear by the end of the video that it's much easier, quicker and more flexible in the long run to generate sounds this way as opposed to a giant checkerboard of sounds in a DAW. As I mention in the video, now that I have that algorithm made, I can use it as a starting point for future sound designs instead of having to start from a blank slate.
The point of this video is to showcase the power of code and the ability to create in realtime once we have created the algorithm, not to bash anyones ideas, methods or workflows.
If nothing else, it shows a different way of accomplishing something and I hope that maybe it sparks an idea in you!
