The SSI Open Water Diver
The SSI Open Water Diver Course allows you to get a certification to dive to depths up to 18m. During the Open Water Diver Course you not only dive for fun, but also learn a set of skills that allow you to react in emergency situations and get you back to safety.
Since I was a child I was fascinated by the underwater worlds, but somehow didn't manage to learn how to dive, until I arrived in the Canary islands.
Being surrounded by ocean everyday was the impulse I needed, so I decided to search for a school and I found Punkfish diving, a diving school in the south of La Palma.
The experience of learning how to dive for the first time was great. I always felt safe with them and had a lot of fun. The first lessons were going very well, but towards the end of the course I started to struggle with some things, especially my mind, getting a bit anxious, like most first time divers do, but eventually managed to surpass them and enjoyed all the time I had under water.
