Come hang out around Tokyo with us! We're visiting Ikebukuro, Akihabara and Asakusa in today's vlog.

We first start in Ikebukuro - there were a ton of gaming center like Gigo. It was opened when we got there around 10am, so we decided to try our luck with the crane machines. Unfortunately, we didn't get anything 😢 Pro tip: don't play the crane machines right when the gaming center is opened. Because no one else played it so the prize hasn't moved at all. It was harder to get them imo..

Still in Ikebukuro, we went to Sunshine City. This was like a Pokemon heaven for me. The Pokemon Center might not be as big as the other ones in Tokyo, but there are a few Pokemon figurines you can take pictures with! And if you love Pokemon merch, you'll love this place!

We also spent a couple hours at the biggest gachapon store! There were so many gachapon to choose from. You can find random stuff to Kamen Rider pins. I also got a few random ones to bring back for my sisters and niece.
And then before we leave Ikebukuro, I spent an hour or so at Matsumoto Kiyoshi! Which is my favorite drug store in Japan. I went ahead and purchased a bunch of Japanese skincare products. Ricky always tried to pull me away from this store anytime we see it around Japan 😅

We also stopped by Akihabara to check out what the fuss is all about. We went around a few different stores to look at trading cards, but we didn't get anything. Well, I guess it was mostly for Ricky's interest. I was just admiring all the lights. It was also pretty noisy - most stores are playing some type of ads or videos outside. It was kinda overwhelming for me.
Last but not least is Asakusa! This is where the famous Sensoji temple and the Kaminarimon Gate are located. If you've seen videos online, you'll see so many crowds in this area. But since we went after the sun sets, and also after most of the stores closed, it wasn't too bad. We were able to walk around pretty freely and didn't have to bump shoulders with others 👍🏻
To end the night, we went on a Yakatabune Dinner. We hopped on a boat and sailed around Sumida River. We also added an all-you-can-drink option to our dinner, so I got a lot of options. The food might not look like a lot, but tbh I was pretty full by the end of the night!
