Listen to the Hymns "I Must Tell Jesus" and "Sweet Hour of Prayer" sung at Klondike Baptist Church of Pensacola, Florida February 6, 2011 by the KBC Praise Team and Congregation.
I Must Tell Jesus was written by Elisha Hoffman in 1893. Sweet Hour of Prayer was written by William Walford in 1845 and the music was written by William Bradbury.
Here are the lyrics:
I must tell Jesus all of my trials; I cannot bear these burdens alone;
In my distress He kindly will help me; He ever loves and cares for His own.
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus! I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus! Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.
I must tell Jesus all of my troubles; He is a kind, compassionate friend;
If I but ask Him, He will deliver, Make of my troubles quickly an end.
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer! That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father's throne Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief, My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempter's snare By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

John 1:12-13: But as many as received Him [Jesus Christ], to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Jesus said: I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6).
