IOT Project: Raspberry Pi Home Automation (GPIO Control) over WIFI (using Web Application)

Built in Wifi and GPIO pins for external device interface makes Raspberry pi a wonderful platform to create IOT projects. Further, its capabilities can be enhanced by installing a webserver on it. That opens up the possibility of controlling the devices through Raspberry Pi using Web Applications. In this project, I have combined these concepts to make a working model. It is made to look like a power extension box, which powers up through a wall socket. Once powered up, Raspberry Pi boots up, connects to home wifi, starts the Webserver and waits to receive a command. All of this completes automatically within 10 seconds.
