Most of the recent, bit more expensive robot vacuums nowadays have something dubbed as "object avoidance". It basically means that the robot vacuum has a front-mounted camera that will detect obstacles and objects it shouldn't bump into.
In this video, we threw a shoe and bunch of shoelace to the floor and put Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro+ (yes, that is its full name!) to test.
And it worked beautifully. Note: as the chair legs are metallic, the reflection confuses robot and it will bump into chairs, despite nicely avoiding the shoe and shoelace. #shorts
