The Pomaks (Pomaks) are Bulgarian-speaking Muslims who are probably descendants of Christian-Bulgarians who converted to Islam during the period of Ottoman rule (late 14th century until the Liberation of Bulgaria in 1878). This minority is estimated at 160,000-240,000 people, living mainly in the Rhodope Mountains. Let's go and visit them! Davai Pomake!
