There are many different surgical situations in which chandelier illumination is beneficial for improving intraocular visibility and thereby achieving favourable surgical outcomes.
Dr. Martin Schmid from the LUKS Lucerne shows how to position the flexible chandelier with his own technique. Firstly, you need to ensure a proper snap-lock connection to position the flexible chandelier fiber with a sterile strip. Then, create a flap on the middle of the sterile strip and an easy repositioning of the chandelier fiber in all directions will be possible.
