Preserving 90s JDM Tuner Culture and keeping the 90s dream alive has been a huge goal of mine ever since I got into cars over a decade ago. Fortunately for me, the stars have finally started aligning giving way to opportunities to make this dream happen. I take a lot of inspiration from The Fast & Furious, Import Tuner, Super Street, 360vm VHS tapes, Need4Speed Underground 2, Midnight Club, 90s/early00s rave culture, and 90s/early00s hip hop and bboy/breakdance culture.
I feel like a lot of what made the scene seemingly so awesome back in the day has been lost. Many people seem to only follow trends and what gives them social media likes or props rather than developing their own unique individuality and style. There's nothing wrong with hopping on trends. I have a problem with people who judge others for not following them. It's lame, backhanded at times, and creates an atmosphere at meets that can make for standoffish social interactions.
The 90s were vibrant, colorful, and were filled with people pushing limits and coming original. Raves/clubs, hip hop jams, skating/skateboarding, snowboarding/surfing, streetwear, and many other subcultures and communities were almost intertwined/synonymous with racing and car culture. I partake in many of these subcultures and interests so I feel inclined to help rekindle a flame of the 90s era that's sort of been lost, by helping to bridge the gap between these communities. I never explained this in the video, but I hope whomever reads this sticks around long enough to see what I'm about and how I intend to make that dream a reality with helping to hopefully make the scene vibrant, colorful, and exciting again. I bboy, rave, I'm heavily into streetwear, and love snowboarding and want to try out surfing soon. Intermingling all these different interests with cars is the goal.
