Alex Pereira training boxing from 2015 to 2023. A powerful puncher, Pereira pressures opponents from the outside, cutting off space in order to open up with hooks and uppercuts at short range. Although most known for his left hook, Pereira also works behind a strong left jab, switching easily from head to body. Since 2020, Pereira has trained at Teixeira MMA, working with former boxer Fernely Feliz, as well as striking coach Lee Alves. A two-division champion in GLORY kickboxing, Pereira entered the UFC's Middleweight division in 2021, securing a title shot with his KO victory of Sean Strickland a year later. Pereira is currently the UFC Light heavyweight championafter kocking out Jiří Procházka at UFC 295.
