Neil Donoghue is in Lourdes, France 🇫🇷 at a brand new event to check out some downhill bikes. This isn't a proper race, it's a UCI Downhill test event from the organisers, to iron out some of the scheduling differences from last year and let the riders give their opinions on the new racing format.
It’s an opportunity for the elite teams and new organisers to have a dry run and test things out before the 2023 season. There have been changes to format and production, as well as experiments with course markings, of which riders are feeding back this weekend. As well as a chance to shake off the off-season, riders' opinions from this weekend will provide valuable insight and help shape downhill racing this season.
