Gabriel Summers, alias Vulcan, younger brother to Cyclops and Havok, manipulates energy. His life began under harsh conditions of slavery on the Shi'ar Throneworld, quickly aging him to his teenage years. His escape to Earth led to the discovery of his powers, mentorship under Moira MacTaggert, and secretive enlistment by Professor X into the X-Men. His first mission ended in failure, but he was preserved by Darwin and remained dormant in orbit until the mutant energy of M-Day revived him.
