Forbidden Planet 1956 movie Starring: Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, Leslie Nielsen. Directed by: Fred M. Wilcox. A star ship crew investigates the disappearance of a planet's colony only to find two survivors and a deadly secret.
Originally the screenplay was written by Irving Block and Allen Adler in 1952 under the name “Fatal Planet” as a "B" picture. It was loosely based on William Shakespeare’s last play, The Tempest (approx. 1610–1611?).
