Watercolors are so much fun! Here are some basic techniques for watercolor paintings:
1) We use a thicker paper for watercolors, because we want paper to absorb the water and stay flat.
2) First, we draw with a pencil very lightly. So that at the end, pencil marks are barely visible.
3) We use a lot of water! The more water we use, the lighter the tone of the color will be.
4) When we finish coloring an area, we need to wait for paper to dry before we keep painting on the same area.
5) We paint from light to dark. First the lighter tones, then the middle tones, and at last the darker tones.
6) We paint the bigger shapes first, then we add details, textures and patterns.
7) And that's it! Now you know how to paint with watercolors!!!
