Before we begin, I want to mention the grooming spray I'll be using throughout the haircut. I'll be using the STMNT grooming spray, which you can find at Ulta. This grooming spray is great for adding texture and hold to the hair, making it easier to work with during the haircut.
To start, make sure you have all the necessary tools: clippers, scissors, a comb, and hair clips. Begin by sectioning the hair and clipping away the top section. Use the clippers to create a fade on the sides and back, starting with a longer guard and gradually decreasing the length as you move up.
Next, blend the sides and back with the top section using scissors. Take small sections of hair and cut using a point-cutting technique for a textured look. Be sure to take your time and blend the lengths seamlessly.
Once the sides and back are complete, release the top section and comb through the hair. Determine the desired length and trim as needed. You can use the scissors to add texture and remove any bulk if necessary.
