Why did Condition Critical by
Why did Condition Critical by Quiet Riot fail? Back in 1983, Quiet Riot released their 3rd studio album Metal Health and that made them superstars. Now a little over a year later, it was time to release a follow-up to Metal Health with the album Condition Critical. But this album did not achieve the success of Metal Health, so I will be talking about all of the reasoning why this album failed to reach the heights of its predecessor. I will be talking about the high expectations placed on the band to duplicate its success, the changes in the musical landscape between 1983 and 1984, the lack of a breakout single and the attempt to replicate their success with another cover by classic rock band Slade, the attempt to make Metal Health Part 2, the tensions with the band and the antics of Kevin Dubrow, the “over-playing” of their music and lastly I will answer the question, Is the album any good?
JC Rock and Metal Reviews is a music channel. I mostly do album reviews and album rankings, but I also occasionally do videos where I show vinyl records, as well as CDs. My main genres are Heavy Metal, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Progressive Rock, Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Progressive Metal, Hair Metal and sometimes I think out of the box with some pop, soft rock and country.
My favorite bands are Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and of course, Alice Cooper.
