First Trip Out On WHALY 435 - Small Boat Fishing Uk- ses fishing - Fishing Essex Coast

After months of rubbish weather trying to get the Whaly 435 ready to fish whilst it was dry at the weekends was a challenge, but I got it done.

I picked up the Whaly 435 from Cornwall in November 2023 i completely stripped it and the trailer. I decided to start from scratch and make it my own. I made custom stainless rails.

I fitted my Garmin 12" fish finder and Livescope from my Hobie Pro Angler 14. I can now move the Livescope and head unit to either the kayak or the Whaly and its plug-and-play.

I fitted various Railblazer equipment and stainless rod holders on the rear A-frame.

It has solar and Victron smart mppt on board paired with 100ah of lithium powering the electronics.

I hard-wired 2 of my Go Pros using the
‪@3BRPOWERSPORTS‬ cases which I love.

So test day came around and we needed bait for Scotland so we killed two birds with one stone.

Myself and Martin headed out locally, into a dogfish fest whilst putting the boat through some testing which it passed with flying colours.
