From how to find the netherite upgrade smithing template to even how to find ancient debris and create netherite ingots from that, it’s all covered. So, without anymore delay, here is how to create netherite armor and tools! First things first, you will need to find the netherite upgrade smithing template. This can be found in the bastion remnant. These can be found in every nether biome except basalt deltas, and they have a 60% chance of spawning within a region in Java Edition and 66.6% chance in Bedrock Edition. If a bastion remnant doesn’t spawn, a nether fortress will. Once you find a bastion remnant, you will need to check all of the chests inside it in order to find the netherite upgrade smithing template. This is luck with there being a 10% chance that the netherite upgrade will spawn within one of these chests. Once you find the netherite upgrade, we need to move on to finding ancient debris. There are three main ways to find ancient debris. The first is by simply strip mining. We recommend doing this and the other two methods at Y level 16 in order to get the best results. Strip mining may take a while, but I have seen great results with it. The other two methods for finding netherite in Minecraft are more explosive with one of them being TNT. With this method, you strip mine and the place TNT and blow it up. This will create a larger area around you allowing you to see more blocks and find more netherite. The other explosive method does the same except you will be using beds. When you try to sleep in them, they will blow up, revealing blocks. Once you have at least 4 ancient debris, you will need 16 in order to make a full set of netherite armor, you can smelt them. This will give netherite scrap. Take four netherite scrap along with 4 gold ingots and craft them together to get a netherite ingot. This will be used to create your netherite armor and tools. Before we make our netherite great though, we need to duplicate the netherite smithing template. Do this by getting diamonds and netherrack. Then, place the smithing template in the top center slot of the crafting table. Place netherrack under it, and place diamonds all around the outside in the remaining empty slots. This will duplicate the netherite template. Repeat this over and over again until you have enough to make all of your tools and armor into netherite. Make sure to always keep one template so you don’t have to find another one in the nether. From there, make a smithing table with wooden planks and iron, and open it. In the first slot, place the netherite upgrade smithing template. In the middle slot, place the diamond tool that you want to turn into netherite. And in the far slot, place a netherite ingot.
