CH395 and CH440: Rotate cross
CH395 and CH440: Rotate cross shaft counterclockwise.
THIS PROCEDURE DOES NOT APPLY TO TWIN CYLINDER KOHLER ENGINES. On most KOHLER twin-cylinder engines, the governor cross shaft will need to be rotated COUNTERCLOCKWISE. 999cc models are rotated CLOCKWISE. Still confused? Whatever direction the cross shaft rotates to OPEN the throttle is the same direction it should be rotated during static adjustment.
