This week we have the 2011 Skoda Superb back with the rear calipers sticking and squealing when slowing down and coming to a stop, it has been a problem for a short while and in the last couple brake pads change they only lasted around 7 to 10 k miles, where after some investigation checking the slider pins and pads all moving freely it was quite obvious that the calipers piston was at fault very likely to be built up of rust within the piston itself, one of the calipers has been reconditioned in the past for the same reason and because they are nearly 400k miles old the owner of the vehicle supplied all the parts and decided to replace the calipers and pads, although the discs were used they were well within spec the owner was advised to replace them because some minor signs of scoring  ...
