Frost Free Fridge Freezer: How to Defrost manually after Fan Stuck and Stopped Working ; Bosch Classixx [ ice up fan blocked (#218)

My Bosch Classixx electronic frost free fridge freezer stops working every few years due to the ventilation/circulation fan stuck by the frozen ice. Every time I open the freezer door and let the ice melting for about 16 hours, then I remove the two covers inside the freezer. It takes about 22 hours before I can install everything back.

You only need to do this if your fridge becomes warm and you don't hear the fan running every time when the compressor is running. You may also find ice at the bottom of your freezer. Please note that during the automatic defrosting cycle, it is normal for the compressor running alone for about 10 minutes. For more info about the defrosting cycle, please read the additional information at the end of this description.

Part 1: Lets talk about:
- Why ventilation/circulation fan stuck
- Compressor
- Evaporator
- Fridge door switch
- Ice around the fan
- Freezer lower ventilation guide cover
- Freezer top evaporator and heater cover

Part 2: Lets look at
- Heater
- Evaporator
- Ventilation fan
- Condenser
- Compressor
- Drain water collection tray

Part 3: How does automatic defrosting work:
- Heater
- Draining plate and hole

Part 4: Do you have to remove the freezer covers?
- No, if you can wait

Part 5: How to install the freezer covers, shelves and drawers

For Your Information:
=== Normal Refrigeration Cycle:
- freezer temperature goes up gradually to a set value;
- When the set temperature value is reached, the compressor and the fan are switched on to cool down the freezer with some portion of the cool air pushed into fridge (the coll air flow is controlled by a dial in the fridge);
- when the freezer temperature drops to a set value, the compressor and fan stopped;
- Repeat the above cycle.

=== Normal Automatic Defrost Cycle:
Moisture will be cooled down to form frost on the evaporator due to food and warm air when you open the fridge/freezer doors. To improve the cooling efficiency, these frost should be removed periodically (for example every 6 to 12 hours). When the automatic defrost is triggered, the following will happen:
- The heater under the evaporator is switched on to melt the frost on the evaporator. The melted water is drained into a tray mounted on the top of the compressor. The heater will be on until all the frost is melted.
- Then the heater is switched off and the compressor is switched on to cool down the evaporator. The fan is not running in this step! This step will continue until the evaporator is cool enough ( for my freezer/fridge, this is about 10 minutes).
- Then while the compressor is on, the fan is switched on to circulate the cooled air in the freezer and fridge, until the set freezing temperature is reached.
- Then both compressor and fan are switched off. The freezer/fridge returns to the normal refrigeration cycle.
