Our First Week at the Lodge: Preparing for 8 Months of Winter Caretaking 🌲🎣 In this video, we document our first week at the remote lodge where we'll be caretaking until May 2025. The team showed us around, introducing us to the stunning forest trails and prime fishing spots. We spent hours learning how to maintain the lodge and brace ourselves for the challenges that winter will bring. On September 8th, A helicopter landed with all our fresh produce and the last of the staff left on it. Now we're truly on our own! Our first full day alone was spent organizing our food in the freezers and figuring out how to stretch our supplies for the next 8 months.
