Montgomery Canal Llanymynech

Join me on a trip down memory lane where I discover places I’ve never been before!
Whilst visiting my parents who live on the England / Wales border I took a stroll down the footpath of the Montgomery Canal to Llanymynech, a village I’ve known since my childhood, yet still, I discovered places I knew little, to nothing about!
Since navigating my way down the French canal system from St Malo in Brittany to the Mediterranean Sea I have been smitten by the canal bug! Now, although I live in France, I come back to the UK regularly.
I am intrigued and keen to discover the UK inland waterways with the intention of sailing my 32ft Southerly Sailboat back to the UK and then navigate my way to the border village of Llanymynech on the soon to be renovated section of the Montgomery Canal.
