COPYCAT HOOTERS WINGS
Here is the recipe to make wings at home just like Hooters.
This recipe stated that they use Franks Red Hot though I am not sure of that.
I use several types blended together.
I also fry my chicken this way. Makes for a perfect batter.
Here is the ingredients:
1 C all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp black pepper
Mix together and coat the wings. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Right before frying the wings pass through the flour once more.
Fry until internal temp of 165 degrees. Mine took 9 minutes.
Remove from fryer and drain for 30 seconds and immediately pass though the sauce mixture.
The Sauce:
1/4 C butter
1/4 C hot sauce
Medium heat is 1/2 butter and 1/2 hot sauce
Mild is 3/4 butter to 1/4 hot sauce
Hot is 3/4 hot sauce to 1/4 butter
Ranch or Blue Cheese for dipping
