From horses saving drowning dogs to dangerous giant centipedes, these are some of the most amazing animals in the world.

#10 … Grizzly Bear -- It can crush a bowling ball with its powerful bite, decapitate a moose with a single swipe of its paw and have been known to toss Dumpsters around like beach balls.  It’s estimated these badasses are up to 5 times stronger than humans.  But when they get angry, they become much stronger … And like with the Hulk, you wouldn’t like ‘em when they’re angry!

#9 … Cape Buffalo --  Also called an African Buffalo, this animal is so badass it’s never been domesticated.  It’s a mean, unpredictable beast that doesn’t shy away from confrontation, and can kill as many as 200 humans a year.  Hunters fear this animal nearly more than any other, because a wounded Cape Buffalo will often run toward its attacker, not away.  So that hunter had best be a crack shot!

#8 … Siberian Tiger -- The biggest of the big cats, they’re well-known for their power, strength and speed.  You actually can know a tiger by its stripes because each animal has a pattern of stripes uniquely its own.  They hunt by stealth, lying in wait until pouncing on unwary prey.  A hungry tiger can put away 60 pounds of food in a single night

#7 … Humboldt (hum-bolt) Squid -- These creatures hunt in packs of over 1000, and can change color to communicate with each other.  All 10 of its tentacles are covered with suckers filled with razor sharp teeth; which they use to pull prey into its parrot-like beak.  They also have a taste for human flesh.  Packs of Humboldt Squids have been known to hunt down and feast on fishermen.  That would make for some badass seafood.

#6 … Tasmanian Devil -- This Australian marsupial is seriously short-tempered, and can fly into a rage when fighting for a mate or defending a meal.  It earned the title of ‘devil’ from European settlers who witnessed the animal’s wild displays, which include lunging, baring teeth and emitting creepy guttural growling.  It also inspired the badass cartoon character from Looney Tunes.

#5 … Lion Kings -- Africa’s unchallenged apex predators, these big cats work in packs to take down almost anything on four legs that isn’t called an elephant.  And they earned that fearsome rep even though they like to sleep up to 20 hours a day.  How badass is that?

#4 … A very badass display of one species helping out another ...  Bless that pooch and the horse it rode in on!

#3 … African Elephant -- It’s the largest living land animal, weighing nearly 7 tons and standing up to 13 feet high at the shoulder.   And that famous trunk isn’t for show; it can lift 700 pounds.  Despite their enormity, elephants are generally tolerant of other animals.  But if frightened or angry, elephants can turn into the world’s single most dangerous animal. They can run 15 miles per hour and easily overturn cars and trucks.  The phrase, Size Matters was pretty much invented for them.

#2 … Tardigrade -- Also known as the Water bear , this is the only animal that can actually survive in the vacuum of outer space.  Over 900 species of this microscopic beast can be found all over the world, in every type of environment.  From the bottom of the ocean, to the top of Mount Everest, to outer space, this creature has survived it all -- pretty badass.

#1 … Honey Badger … The folks at Guinness have declared the Honey Badger to be the “world’s most fearless animal”.  It’s been known to attack large antelope, horses, and even chasing off lions from its prey.  It’s reputation for fearlessness and throwing caution to the wind have earned it a series of internet memes, most of which can’t be repeated in this list.  Suffice it to say, this animal takes the top badass spot, coz Honey Badger D-G-A-F.
