The 12933 / 12934 Karnavati Superfast Express is one of four express trains belonging to Indian Railways that offer Chair Car services between Ahmedabad Junction (ADI) and Mumbai Central (BCT) in India. It operates as train number 12934 from Ahmedabad Junction to Mumbai Central and as train number 12933 in the reverse direction serving the states of Maharashtra & Gujarat.
The other Chair Car trains which run between the two cities are 12931/32 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Double Decker Express, 22953/54 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Gujarat Superfast Express and the 12009/10 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express.
It is named after Rani Karnavati. Karnavati was also a proposed name for the renaming of Ahmedabad.
Karnavati Superfast Express is composed of four AC Chair Cars, 11 2nd Class seating cars, 2 General Unreserved coaches, 1 Pantry Car and two 2 Luggage Cum Generator coaches. The conventional rakes were replaced by Linke-Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches for this train in 2014.

Ahmedabad Junction railway station (station code: ADI) is the main railway station of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It is also the biggest railway station within Gujarat. It is the second-highest income-generating division in Western Railways after the Mumbai Division.
Ahmedabad Junction is the primary station of rail transport for the city of Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat, India and an important center of the Western Railways zone of the Indian Railways. Locally, people refer to it as Kalupur Station (as it is situated in the Kalupur area of the walled city). It serves trains that connect Ahmedabad to different parts of Gujarat, as well as major Indian cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Trivandrum, Ajmer, Dhanbad, Daltonganj, Gwalior, Jaipur, Indore and Howrah.
IRCTC has launched its VIP class executive lounge on platform 1 for passengers to spend their waiting time on economy rates which offers free wifi, urinals, AC, news paper, recliners and foods.

Mumbai Central (formerly Bombay Central, station code: MMCT) is a major railway station on the Western line, situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra in an area known by the same name. It serves as a major stop for both Local and Inter-City/Express trains with separate platforms for them. It is also a terminal for several long distance trains including the Mumbai Rajdhani Express. It is one of the five major Terminal stations in Mumbai while others being Mumbai CST, Mumbai LTT, Mumbai BDTS and Mumbai Dadar. Trains depart from the station connecting various destinations mostly across states in the northern, western and north-western parts of India. The station was renamed from Bombay Central to Mumbai Central in 1997, following the change of Bombay to Mumbai. In 2018, a resolution was passed to change the station code to MMCT, with implementation ongoing.
The station is divided into two parts. The eastern half of the station serves long-distance trains operated by Western Railways while the western half serves commuter trains running on the Churchgate–Virar suburban section of Western Railways.
RailTel, the telecom arm of the Indian Railways, on 22 January 2016 launched free public Wi-Fi service at Mumbai Central station in collaboration with Google.
The concourse on the mainline side has an outlet of Rajdhani chain of restaurants serving authentic Indian food.
