Navigating and Highlights of the Florida International Boat Show one of the largest boat shows in the USA - FLIBS 2021

If you love Boats and the Ocean, then this place will put a huge smile on your face !! The show is massive, with seemingly endless boats and engines on show!
In this Video I discuss how I navigated this event as efficiently as possible, maybe offering some tips that you may find useful for navigating this show for 2022, while sharing some Photos and Videos from the show.
At the end I have a quick story about the Trinidad & Tobago Power Boat Great Race and the first American to win that Race ! Do you know who he is and what boat he throttled ?

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show happens once a year around the last weekend in November, the general public of all ages are welcome, whether you are there to buy a boat, or just wander around with the kids admiring the boats!
Since the show spans from a Wednesday to Sunday, you will find that you have lots of days to choose from. I usually check the weather the week before and purchase my tickets online a day or two before the intended date of visit, thereby ensuring I get good weather!
The first day is usually quieter since it is also mid week and more expensive.
Parking / Entry Show : Since I drive down from Palm Beach, I opt to park at the suggested Galleria Mall park, last year I used the free bus shuttle service, but this year I opted for the Water Taxi, it is after all a boat show, entry via the Intracoastal Water Way was the way to go, the ticket was less than $13 USD and it allowed me unlimited use of the water taxi for the day. There are also drinks available on board at regular pricing.
The reason I chose this parking location is for the reduced lines and rush to get back to this parking spot as compared to the others, and it’s free :)
Tickets for the show and water taxi are bought online, you are sent a QR or bar code which you simply show at the door on your smartphone or via a printed page, and this gives you quick and easy entry. The only place I saw long lines was for the evening water taxi out of the show, having ridden the water taxi a few times, I opted for the bus ride back, there was only three persons on my bus at 630pm near the end of the show.
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show has many booths displaying fishing tackle, clothing, sunglasses, and a wide range of electronics, the list goes on, everything for boating is on display here and being a consumer show, there are also many items for sale.
This year I did notice that the show hosted many more seminars than last year which I think adds a lot of value based on the topics for attendees, a welcome added bonus!
