A little over a year
A little over a year ago, Caleb Konley was number one in the then EVOLVE Top 10 (https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/FUQ9W..., but before he could get the title shot he earned from his momentum to start off 2015, he was sidelined with an injury. Given the nature of the rankings and his often involvement in tag team competition, Konley has not found himself back on top of the now Top 5; however, that hasn't stopped him from demanding the match that he never received. In fact, on multiple occasions Caleb's called out EVOLVE Champion Timothy Thatcher and went out of his way to slander the champion for "ducking him" on any media appearances he's had. It was apparent that Thatcher accepting Matt Riddle's title challenge after the Style Battle Round Robin Finals at EVOLVE 55 pushed Caleb beyond his breaking point (http://wwnlive.com/event-evolve-01-24.... In fact, wrestling analysts argue that this obsession with the EVOLVE Championship arguably impacted the performance of the Premier Athlete Brand at the EVOLVE 53-55 EVOLVE Tag Team Title Tournament, especially given that the former DGUSA Open The United Gate Champions came in as top seeds to the win EVOLVE Tag Team Championships.
Despite the nature of this promo sent by Caleb Konley to EVOLVE Officials, in an effort to provide fair and unbiased journalism, they ultimately decided to post it along with highlights of the EVOLVE 55 Thatcher-Konley interaction and the EVOLVE 54 post Second Chance Tag Team Tournament First Round Match attack on the victorious Team Tremendous of Dan Barry & Bill Carr (http://wwnlive.com/event-evolve-01-23....
The stage is now set for both the Grudge Tag Team Match at EVOLVE 56 as Team Tremendous faces The Premier Athlete Brand of Anthony Nese & Caleb Konley w/ Andrea, and a potential EVOLVE Championship match against Timothy Thatcher at EVOLVE 57, should Thatcher retain against Matt Riddle at EVOLVE 56. You have to wonder if Konley is preparing equally for both opportunities, especially given Team Tremendous are the current Number One Contenders for the EVOLVE Tag Team Championship making a win over them grounds for a future Premier Athlete Brand title shot.
