In 1960, the British rock instrumental group The Shadows recorded this song adapted by English composer Jerry Lordan. It became a huge success in the U.K. topping the charts for 5 weeks. Unfortunately,, no one brought it to the U.S. so it never made the charts. A year later, Jargen Ingmann had a big hit with his version.
