This is one of the most requested dishes in CSR catering as it can be  prepared so nicely on by expert chefs. This dish KOLAKATTE idli is from Malenadu cuisine. The culinary saga continues from Chethan Rao with his inimitable method of preparation and explanation.

The story goes that the man who ate a kozhukattai learns the name for the first time, and on his way home constantly repeats it so that he doesn't forget. However, he jumps across a small stream of water and utters the word 'Athiribacha' during the jump, and forgets what he had memorised.
hough it is believed the dish originated in Karaikudi, it is also popular in Madurai, and made by Keralites and Thanjavur Tamil families.
Commemorating Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, the kozhukatta is supposed to represent the stones that were thrown on Jesus during his crucifixion, while the sweet stuffing of coconut and jaggery is said to represent love.
