What I feed ABBY in a day

WATER
But children under a year old don’t need water like adults do. It can actually be dangerous for them. Babies get all their hydration from breast milk or formula

From 6 months of age, you can give your baby small amounts of water, if needed, in addition to their breastmilk or formula feeds.


STEAM APPLE/PEAR
steaming Pear/Apple is very important
To make it digestible for babies
and can be made easily by mashing and blending
Steam  half piece of pear/apple with or without skin

1/2 pear/apple (steamed)
1/2 ripe banana
-mashed Banana add steamed & puréed pear/apple

-Wash & Cut apple into desired piece with skin or without skin
-Steam for 10 minutes, once the apple is steamed it will be soft.
Remove the seed in the center now Mash or Blend with a little water
(You can steam with Idli steamer or pressure cooker by adding cup of water)

OATS, ALMOND, CASHEWS PORRIDGE (you can add cashews)
How to prepare porridge powder:

PREPARE PORRIDGE
2 tbsp oats porridge mix
1.5 cups of water (or as required)

-Pour water into the pan
-Mix the contents well (powdered oats & cashews, almond) stir continuously to avoid any lumps from being formed.
-Stir continuously so the mixture is mixed completely with water
-Stir till the mixture comes to the desired consistency (until the mixture thickens (4-5 minutes over low heat)
-Move from the heat, then add formula milk 2 tsp this is optional, Abby loves with little milk)
-💢Add ghee (Ghee may be introduced as soon as a baby is ready to start solids, which is generally around 6 months of age. Ghee is a dairy product, and dairy is a common allergen, so take care when introducing ghee)
-(In a bowl 1 teaspoons formula milk powder little water mix it well )
-Pour the prepared porridge into the bowl serve warm
-Give water after meal

RAGGI PORRIDGE
Ingredients
-1.5 tbsp Raggi flour
-2 cups of water
-dash cardamom powder
-very little cow ghee💢

-Pour water into the pan
-Mix the contents well (Raggi flour & dash cardamom powder) stir continuously to avoid any lumps from being formed.
-Stir continuously so the mixture is mixed completely with water
-Stir till the mixture comes to the desired consistency (until the mixture thickens (5-6 minutes over low heat)
-Move from the heat
-💢Add ghee
-(In a bowl 1 teaspoons formula milk (Aptamil Gold 2)powder little water mix it well )
-Add prepped formula milk 2 tsp this is optional, Abby loves with little milk)
-Pour the prepared porridge into the bowl serve warm
-Give water after meal


🛑DO NOT ADD SALT & SUGAR
SALT:Once your baby begins eating solid food at six months, DON’T ADD any salt to home-cooked baby food or commercial baby food, even if you think it tastes bland . If you give your baby added salt their kidneys won't be able to cope.

SUGAR: experts advise no added sugar for infants and little to no added sugar for children 12 to 24 months old, can use natural sweetener like dates, raisins, figs.

-ALMONDS :for babies are good for their brain development also know for their health benefits as they contain fibre, minerals and essential fatty acids.

OATS PORRIDGE
Oats are a single grain food that are easy on your babies digestive system high in fiber, nutrients, iron, zinc

PUMPKIN
Pumpkin is loaded with vitamin A to help strengthen baby's eyesight, growth, and immune system. Depending on the variety, pumpkin also contains other essential nutrients like vitamin E, vitamin B6, folate, and fiber, vitamin C, iron, potassium, and more.

BANANA
Bananas are a good source of potassium, vitamins B6 and C, fiber, and magnesium. Because of this combination, as well being easy to prepare, convenient to carry, and tasty, they're considered one of the best first foods for babies.

PEAR
Pears are rich in fiber to help baby's gut microbiome flourish and support baby's bowels to move things along, plus they contain a great amount of vitamin K and a dash of other nutrients such as potassium and vitamin C.

PAPAYA
Ripe papaya fruit is packed with vitamins A and C—essential nutrients to support your baby's eyesight, immune system, and skin. Vitamin C also helps your baby absorb iron from plant-based foods, and papaya has loads of vitamin C, even more than apples, bananas, and oranges.
