On December 11, 2023, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, officers were dispatch to a local bar due to reports of an individual who had locked their keys in their car, and was now causing a disturbance at the bar.
Then man, identified as Clayton was initially cooperative with police. Police eventually viewed security footage of Clayton driving his car out of the parking lot and directly into a curb, causing the wheel on his car to go sideways, making the vehicle inoperable.
Officers unlocked Clayton's car with a vehicle unlock tool to turn it off. While unlocking the vehicle, a strong odor of raw marijuana was apparent. Officers located 2.2 grams of marijuana as well as a glass smoking pipe in his vehicle.
Clayton was confronted and eventually arrested. He was taken to the hospital after a warrant for a legal blood draw was issued. He continued yelling for much of the ride. At the hospital, he was loud and uncooperative. Eventually his blood was drawn.
Clayton was charged with OWI, 2nd, Operating with Prohibited Alcohol Concentration, 2nd, Refusing to Take Test for Intoxication After Arrest, Possession of THC, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Disorderly Conduct. He was found guilty on all charges except Refusal to Take Test for Intoxication and OWI. He was sentenced to a total of one hundred twenty five days in jail and four a total of six years probation. He was also fined around three thousand dollars.
