Today I am sharing a unique gujarati thali recipe for lunch or dinner, which can be prepared quickly within 20-30 minutes and you not need to stand in kitchen for longer. Today I presented two recipes.

(1) Gujarati Dabka Kadhi Recipe
(2) Jeera Rice Recipe (With different method)

Gujarati Dabka Kadhi is indeed very popular among Gujaratis, however, now a days this recipe is gaining popularity across whole country. Due to its unique preparation method, colour, texture and taste, this kadhi (curry) is liked by all who once tastes it. I made Jeera Rice with slightly different method, which saves your time and tastes equally well as such standard method.

This both recipes do not require any vegetables and can be made with ingredients already available at home, within no time. Yes, there are lots of ingredients used here, but we homemaker know very well that, it is an easy job to handle.

This recipe video is specially made on request from our viewer Smitaben Patel (USA). We thank Smitaben for suggesting to make such video which may be helpful to those who want to cook quickly without much efforts and have healthy meal anytime.

INGREDIENTS
QUICK JEERA RICE
1 cup basmati rice
3 glasses of water
½ tsp salt
2 tsp pure ghee
¾ tsp cumin seeds
½ tsp black pepper (काली मिर्च)
¼ tsp hing
Cinnamon (दालचीनी)
2 cloves (लौंग)


FOR KADHI
1 glass of sour buttermilk (खट्टी छाछ)
1 tbsp besan (बेसन)
1.5 glass of water
2 tsp oil at low flame
1 tsp pure ghee
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp cumin seeds
½ tsp dry methi seeds
2 dry red chilies (सुखी लाल मिर्च)
1 badiyan (बादियाँ)
2 cloves (लौंग)
Cinnamon (दालचीनी)
Curry leaves (कड़ी पत्ते)
⅛ tsp hing (हिंग)
Chopped green chilli (हरी मिर्च)
½ tsp ginger paste
¼ tsp turmeric powder (हल्दी)
½ tsp of salt (नमक)
2 tsp gud (गुड)

FOR DABKA
¾ cup besan (बेसन)
Chopped coriander leaves (हरा धनिया)
1 chopped green chilli (हरी मिर्च)
½ tsp ginger paste (अदरक पेस्ट)
½ tsp of salt (नमक)
¼ tsp red chilli powder (लाल मिर्च पावडर)
⅛ tsp turmeric powder (हल्दी)
⅛ tsp hing (हिंग)
Little baking soda (बेकिंग सोडा)
1 tsp sugar (चीनी)
1 tsp oil (तेल)
½ lemon (निम्बू)
Water required for loose binding
2 tsp oil
1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder (कश्मीरी लाल मिर्च)
