How to Prepare Malpua | Perfect Homemade Malpua Recipe | Indian Sweet Pancake

A mouth watering and popular Indian dessert recipe. Malpua is pancake prepared with refined flour and milk, deep fried in oil, dunked in sugar syrup and garnished with dry fruits. It is very easy and quick to make. Malpua is a classic Indian dessert made for festive or celebratory occasions. Malpua is a deliciously sweet way to begin any occasion or end any meal.

INGREDIENTS:

Batter:
Refine flour -  1 cup,
Semolina -  1/2 cup,
Sugar -  1/2 cup,
Milk -  2 cups or as per requirement,

Syrup:
Sugar -  2 cups,
Water -  1 cup,
Green cardamom powder -  1/2 tsp,
Orange food colour -  1/2 tsp,

METHOD:
In a mixing bowl add refine flour, semolina and sugar and mix them, add milk as per need to get a pouring consistency. Keep aside for 30 mins.

Into a pan add sugar and water, mix together and cook it for 2 mins or until sugar melt nicely.

Add green cardamom powder and food colour, cook it for another 2 mins or until it gets sticky consistency.

Heat the oil in a pan and pour a spoonfull of the batter to make round small pancake. Fry it on low heat on both the sides.

Once fried dip them in the sugar syrup.

Serve with rabdi.
