Former President Donald Trump will not testify in the New York civil fraud trial against him on Monday. The president announced in a post to Truth Social that he will not take the witness stand as expected, calling Judge Arthur Engoron "biased" and blasting the New York Attorney General's office and President Joe Biden's campaign for "election interference."

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) said he wouldn't like to vote for any Joe other than Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) for president in 2024 when asked if he would consider supporting President Joe Biden in 2024. Host Kristen Welker of NBC News's Meet the Press prompted the retiring senator, whose dislike of former President Donald Trump is well-known, as to whether he might vote for Biden in the election. In response, Romney claimed, "The Joe I would like to vote for is Joe Manchin."

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) warned Sunday that the United States cannot afford to provide financial aid to foreign countries like Ukraine, citing concerns about devaluing the U.S. dollar. Paul also cited concerns regarding securing the southern border and agreed that it needs to be addressed before helping outside countries. He added that a financial crisis in the near future could be on the way as the U.S. accumulates debt "at a trillion dollars every three months."
