How to create a date filter that defaults to Today and and a date parameter and in Tableau

1. Open the Data pane menu using the drop-down arrow in the upper-right corner and then select Create Parameter.
2. Once created, n the Data pane, click the drop-down arrow next to the parameter and then select Show Parameter Control.
3. Create two calculated fields; one for "Select Date Conversion" and one for  Select Date Calculation".
