Mercury in Sagittarius goes into shadow on 26 Nov 2023 @ 22 Sagittarius (close to the degree of the New Moon in Sagittarius on 12th Dec 2023). Neptune will square Mercury a few times during the shadow/retrograde period adding an emphasis on beliefs, philosophies, spirituality and possible confusion.
The energies of Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) brings in the archaic (this is the way we’ve always done it), authority figures, tests, challenges, responsibilities & time into the start of the retrograde.
The energies of Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter) brings a view to the future, expansiveness, foreign people/places, universities, the law, travel & publishing into the mix as Mercury goes direct. A positive frame of mind and taking risks are all featured.
Mercury goes retrograde on 12th Dec @ 11:20pm PST @ 8 Capricorn 29’. When it does it conjuncts Palestine's’ Natal Neptune & transiting Pluto will conjunct Palestine's’ Moon. This is potential deception and confusion presented at the New Moon (in a foreign country like Palestine) having the people (Moon) be held under the control of those in power with the possibility of transformation.
Mercury goes direct at 22 Sagittarius on 1 Jan 2024 the day after lucky, expansive Jupiter goes direct on 31st Dec 2023 (the ruler of the New Moon in Sagittarius on the 12th Dec 2023). Although technically Mercury is in detriment at this retrograde it can facilitate writing of treatises.
With Mercury now direct it comes out of its retrograde degree of 8 Capricorn on 21st Jan 2024 at the same time that the Sun conjuncts Pluto at 0 degrees of Aquarius. This will be followed by Mercury, Mars then Venus all conjunct Pluto at 0 degrees Aquarius in the month of Feb 2024!!!
Notably, transiting Saturn will conjunct Palestine's North Nodes of destiny at 10 Pisces in March 2024 ushering in new structure in the destiny of Palestine.
Sabian Symbol for 9 Capricorn- “An Angel carrying a harp” p. 235 (1). This refers to the attunement to the rhythm of Universal Life. Heaven is within us.
Sabian Symbol for 1 Aquarius- “An old Adobe Mission in California” p. 248 (1). This refers to an idealized, & spiritualized creative picture of social forces at work. Stressing the enduring character of human achievement of a noble ideal.
Sabian Symbol for 23 Sagittarius- “A group of immigrants as they fulfill the requirements for the entrance to a new country” p. 223 (1). This refers to a period of transition.
