Gingivitis is inflammation of the gums. It affects more than 90% of the population. It is mainly caused by accumulation dental plaque(bacteria). It left untreated it may progress to periodontitis leading to loss of tooth structure. Therefore it very crucial to diagnose and treat gingivitis in the early stages.
