Time Bandit - Atari ST / STE

In this video, Time Bandit, released in 1986 for the Atari ST by Microdeal.
Gather keys to open locks and gain access to next level while shooting at enemies that try to stop you from completing 16 different worlds, each of which must be completed 16 times. Some worlds incorporate elements of text adventure games while others contain gameplay references to other popular games of the past.
Time Bandit is a maze shoot 'em up written for the TRS-80 and ported as an early release to the ST by Bill Dunlevy and Harry Lafnear. It was a great success and Lafnear estimates that most of the 75,000 copies sold were bought from ST owners.
For an early game, Time Bandit sports primitive but nice graphics and sounds. It shines in its playability and balanced difficulty.
