When Z-Bear started her Groovin' series the intention was to provide a forum where she could break free of the constraints of time and style that defined many of her other videos. Instead each video would contain a theme, one that summarizes a particular set of emotions or ideas. This episode is no different in that regard. However, by coincidence a large number of these tracks happen to have been produced between the late 60s and the late 70s. Perhaps this is not really that surprising considering the emotive power of music from this period. It was a tumultuous time when war, the struggle for social equality and economic uncertainty had a major impact over most people's lives. Both the creators and listeners of music used the medium as way to process and cope with these challenges.
