Hi! This is a mid-May spring drive through downtown Pittsfield, Massachusetts, past Pontoosuc Lake, then into Lanesborough and over to the defunct Berkshire Mall (only the Target is still open) driving past the carnival (set up in the mall parking lot). The Berkshires is the western county in Massachusetts bordering with Vermont, New York, and Connecticut. The Berkshires has been called "America's premiere cultural resort" with notable fixtures such as Tanglewood (the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra - which we will drive by in this video), Mass MoCA, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, The Norman Rockwell Museum, The Mount (Edith Wharton's home), Arrowhead (Herman Melville's home), Chesterwood (Daniel Chester French's home and studio where he created the Lincoln state for the Lincoln Memorial), Williamstown Theatre Festival, Shakespeare & Company, The Clark Art Museum (my personal favorite museum in the world), Berkshire Theatre Festival, The Chester Theatre Company, plus a whole host of other galleries, festivals, museums, and things to do. This video was recorded on May 18, 2024. If you enjoyed this video, please like and subscribe. It really helps small YouTubers like us. Thank you!
