How to plan for your Uttarakhand char dham Yatra. Complete itinerary guide. How to plan for trip.
Day 1- Considering Rishikesh as the base location, you should reach Rishikesh one day before starting your journey.
Day 2- On the next day reach the nearest location to Janki chatti. It can be hanuman chatti, barkot or even chinyali sor.
Day 3- take off to Janki chatti as early as possible in morning from your stay, and try to start your trek to Yamunotri before 7, so that you find less rush and spacious road to walk on.
Day 4- from chinyali saur we reached Gangotri covering 120 kms in 9 hours.
Day 5- give this day for travelling from maneri to Guptakashi. Or if you are staying at Uttarkashi then travel from here to guptkashi or sonprayag for Kedarnath yatra
Day 6- you can use this day to go for Kedarnath, but we had our helicopter booking on 1 June so on 31 may we decided to go Shree tungnath Mahadev Jii darshan and trek which is 5km one way.
Day 7- on 1 June, that was the day for our Kedarnath yatra. We had our helicopter booking
So we reached from our room to our helipad and then to Kedarnath dham.
Day 8- after having our breakfast we started our journey from guptkashi to pipalkoti as our stay was arranged here. You can travel from guptkashi to Badrinath directly and rest well to travel early next day. We did a small trek to hanuman mandir in pipalkoti which was a good decision.
