It is boundered on each side by the anterior belly of digastricus. Its base is represented by the body of hyoid bone. And its apex is the symphysis mentis. The floor of submental tringle is formed by the two mylohyoid muscles meeting at the median fibrous raphe extending from symphysis menti to the hyoid bone.
