Using high-speed laser deposition welding (HS-LMD), very fast coating processes with small layer thickness can be achieved for rotationally symmetrical components. HS-LMD accelerates laser metal deposition significantly. TRUMPF has already been successful in using this procedure, developed and patented by the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology, in series production.
